This is a freehand M80 Meistergram machine...one of the original machines that opened the door to professional/commercial embroidery.  I used this machine for embroidering names and monograms on sweaters (remember those circular monograms that were all the rage on sweaters and handbags?) It provided added income in my shop for over seven years...and then when the more sophisticated computerized machines came along, I kept it right there in my shop for easy fixes when something when awry...like a skipped stitch or a bobbin running out at the wrong time...or maybe at the very end of the design.  Instead of backing up the new computerized machine and spending a lot of time centering and figuring, I simply tacked the stitch down or filled it in with this honey of a machine....sometimes simple is better!!  I also used it for big designs on flags and banners. My loss ratio was very low because of this baby...and in the days when digitizing equipment was cost prohibitive and digitizers charged hefty fees, I could "draw" any design I wanted ..the knee controlled the width, the foot the speed and the hands on the hoop guided the target material to where I wanted it to go. It is like drawing with thread! If you know how to paint with thread or would like to learn...or just want a quick fixer for commercial embroidery mishaps, this is the machine!   It hasn't been used in a while but it has been inside and covered. A tune up is probably in order but many sewing machine technicians can do this. It forms a zigsag stitch, even at the narrowest setting. Great for attaching appliques, decorating quilts or writing a name on anything. If you know how to free hand quilt or use a zigzag for appliques on your home sewing machine, this machine will be easy to learn. It goes much faster than a home machine and is a heavy-duty commercial machine. I met a wonderful lady at a show in Maryland who is an expert with this machine. She learned in her native country. She was very interested and gave me her card...but it got misplaced and so I offer this machine here and hope she  - or a friend  of hers in Jessup MD  -  might see this listing... Or perhaps you will buy it first! I have seen just the head alone go for $1000 and more and this has the table and light as well. The table has a large surface and a built in light and lots of storage drawers with a area on top to hold what you need right now! The machine comes with a supply of different sized wooden hoops, extra bobbin cases and two extra hook assemblies as well as some bobbins. I also have some backing I can add to the sale. Thanks for looking. This machine is sold as is. It was working fine the last time I used it. Local pickup or you arrange and pay the freight. Cash at pickup.
