Everything I sell came from somebody I sell for who got their item from somebody or somewhere else, and brought it to me to offer here. New condition means it was never used for it's intended purpose. As to my own stuff, and you may have heard this before, I have to invest time to find it, gas to get it, outbid, outrun, outgrab, outfox, beg, plead, argue, bicker and dicker, I have to research it, clean it (when appropriate), store it, photo it list it pack it ship it (more gas) and after all that I still often end up losing goshdern money!!!!! PLEASE NOTE: I have no sense of smell, and many of the items I handle are not mine, are used, and come with unknown history! I can not tell you what an item may or may not smell like! RE: SHIPPING/HANDLING As monkey-in-the middle here selling other peoples, stuff, and at a rather modest rate that renders me grateful if I can eat once a day, from listing to packing to physically shipping, I do not wish to give any of that small hard earned compensation up for anything related to shipping, and my clients, already pounded with fees at every turn, (fee to list, fee to sell, fee just to get paid through paypal...) understandably don't desire to have anything to do with shipping related costs either. A buyer shopping online and having an item brought to their door I would think would expect to incur the costs and fees related to that. Those costs being the shipping cost by weight, insurance, paypal fee on the shipping amount, ebay's recent and shameless shipping fee, (which you of course pay anyway when it's hidden in "free" shipping) an appropriate size box, ( I don't dumpster dive) and maybe a quarter or so toward packing material (hugely expensive). The shipping estimate you're shown is just that, an estimate, I trim to actual costs/fees when I send my invoice I ask in my listings that my buyers wait for, which also reflects further discount on the basic USPS cost. A seller selling their own merchandise has the luxury of charging a low shipping cost by simply shuffling the numbers around to make themselves look good, and some even stoop to the outright lie and unscrupulous marketing gimmick known as "FREE" shipping, of which there is no such thing, a gimmick ebay actually promotes, and even rewards sellers for implementing, by awarding them an automatic maximum stellar quantity for shipping! I'd jump on that bandwagon, but I both prefer the honest approach (much to my detriment), and also need to have my clients see their actual item price and it's progress, un-muddled by hidden fees and shipping as is the case with "FREE" shipping. I'm sure you realize a seller offering "free" shipping, if by chance in a neighboring state to yours, has enough built in to the price to ship to the far opposite end of the country, right?? Think they'll give you a discount because you're close? Nah, after all it was "free"! Anyway, THANKS for allowing me to plead my case regarding shipping and handling before you pass judgment!!!!! I do the best I can, and really do need that aforementioned one meal a day at least. If forced to choose between maximum attaboys for S/H and that Hungry Man dinner, I gotta go with the dinner, even if the chicken does taste like the veggies, which tastes the same as the brownie, and the plastic wrapper...to be clear. you're not paying for that meal, I'm simply making sure I don't lose the money that does pay for it
