I wanted to have the 2 yr old $500.00 yellow saw repaired and have yet to pick it up. Was very busy those few weeks and used these new guys extensively (after a few adjustments). Very happy.....Rub the rails with wax paper every morning (as with the other saws)and keep it dry,I have NO problems. The stock blade even lasted a good while. Yes I did spend time initally in adjustments and regular care and maintenence,this saw works well. No falling parts, no sticky guard (minor adjustment), no cracked housing, nothing. Both saws work great. The new saws out of the box REQUIRES you to calibrate it. (So does every other saw out there). Take the time with a square and set your saw up right. You will be glad you did Angle adjustment - factory used the casting when making the base to mark the points for the fast adjustment. Do not trust this. If you calibrate your saw for 90 degree cuts first and then when you adjust to a 45 you use the marker arrow - you will have a perfect cut. Sawdust - get a hood to hook on your dust collector. I used this new saw in a major renovation of my vacation home in the Outer Banks. Hundreds of tongue&grove boards were cut along with many other types of lumber. I had to change the blade only once for I made the mistake of cutting lock and load flooring. For those of you who have made the same mistake lock and load floor may be surfaced with a material that contains Aluminium oxide. (The same stuff in some sandpaper) This will dull a blade in no time. Other than that the saw is working great. I have mine for about 14 months now. It still runs great despite I cut solid wood floors, stairtreads, laminated planks on daily basis. People saying that they are cutting 3 rooms and it still works make me smile. I install about 3 houses a week with this saw. The slides get sticky sometimes but I blow the dust out with compressed air and works just fine after that. I bought a extended warranty for it, but for crying out loud I paid a lot less than name brand machines. It would be a shame to return it or exchange it now under the warranty. I love it, I like it and I would buy another one if this one will ever quit on me. I have two "yellow " saws but this one is my primary because is light and sliding.
