SquareTrade © AP6.0 Single Rebar Holder For Use With The Formless Footing System The formless footing system uses the footing trench sides as the form.  First set your stringline on one side of the trench to footing grade. Then pound verticle rebars every 3' - 4' apart to about level with the stringline.  Using the rebar driver tool pound the rebar in using the tools guage to the string.  Next you will place a single rebar holder over the rebar and slide it to the bottom.  You then place a screed chair on top of the rebar. You can now use a level to set the other side of the trench.  Tie your footing rebars to the rebar holders. You can now use a 2" pipe on each side to screed your footing off of. These come in two different sizes - 4" tall to be used for an 8" footing or 6" tall to be used for a 12" footing.
