Connecticut Electric Emergency Generator Transfer Switch. This switch has been used but is in great condition.  Was removed to upgrade to a 10 circuits -7500 Watts same brand. Six (6) single-pole 125V circuits EmerGen manual generator transfer switch with capacity for one two-pole 250V circuit  for up to 5000W generators. It can handle combined load of 40 amp with maximum of 15A per circuit (protected with built-in 15A breakers). The 6-5000 switch can also be used with 7500 Watt generator provided the generator is not loaded up over 5000 Watts continuous. Manual transfer switches allow home owners to safely switch from the utility power to a back-up generator during power outage. The manual transfer switches are wired directly to the load center inside the home and provide a fast and easy way of connecting the generator to the home. The transfer switches are designed to handle emergency circuits only during a power outage. The switch isolates the emergency circuits from the utility line allowing for efficient operation of the generator without back feeding onto the utility or the threat of the utility power back feeding your generator when power is restored. It has two built in wattage meters allowing load balancing and visually provides the generator's capacity usage. It is pre-wired to meet the Electrical Code for the do-it-yourselfer or electrical contractor to simplify and speed up actual installation. Compatible with all loadcenters. Compatible with all loadcenters. It comes with a approx 2 feet long interconnection flex cable (approx 4 feet wire) and a convenience outlet located right on front panel. It accepts a four (4) prong female twist lock connector configuration L14-20. This is the only safe and logical way for transferring generator electricity to power critical loads: pump, gas furnace, garage door, water heater, television, refrigirator, microwave, coffee maker etc. During a power outage, plug the generator into manual transfer switch and turn one circuit at a time from the "LINE" position to the "GEN" position. Turn the appliance on the circuit ON and monitor the wattage used by the appliance. When operating off of the generator, it is recommended that the loads are approximately the same on both meters to maximize the efficiency of the generator.
