About this item The Cooper-Atkins 462-0-8 dual-range infrared thermometer is used for noncontact temperature measurement when monitoring surface temperatures of food products and food service equipment. It measures temperature from -40 to +536 degrees F (-40 to +280 degrees C), with an accuracy of + or - 2 degrees F (+ or - 1 degree C). It has a 6:1 infrared distance-to-spot ratio with laser dot illumination for highlighting the measurement area. Its single-button operation provides ease of use. The unit operates on a single 9V battery, and turns off automatically after seven seconds of non-use to conserve battery life. The European Conformity (CE) marking indicates compliance with applicable European Union (EU) directives, and it is compliant with Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) standards. It comes with a wrist strap and instructions. Specifications Temperature measurement range From -40 to +536 degrees F (-40 to +280 degrees C) Resolution 0.1 degree, 1 degree F/C above 230 degrees F Accuracy + or - 2 degrees F (+ or - 1 degree C) Response time Less than 0.5 seconds Emissivity Preset at 0.97 Standards met CE, RoHS, WEEE Power supply 9V battery Weight 5oz./142g Dimensions 7-3/8 x 2-1/4 x 1-1/2 x inches (18.4 x 5.6 x 3.8cm) (H x W x D) H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back. Digital infrared thermometers measure the temperature of surfaces from a distance. They may measure temperature in Celsius, Fahrenheit, or both. Infrared (IR) thermometers work by focusing the infrared radiation emitted by a surface onto a detector called a thermopile. The thermopile turns the heat into electricity, which is measured and converted to a temperature reading. The reading is then displayed on an LCD display. IR thermometers are used to measure temperature when an object is fragile, as in ear thermometers, or dangerous to be near, as in the case of industrial equipment. Cooper-Atkins manufactures time, temperature, and humidity instruments for industrial, HVAC/R, health care, and food safety applications. The company, founded in 1884, is headquartered in Middlefield, CT. What's included?  This is just the cooper 462 with out box or accessories or manual. What you see is what you get.
