Get It Now This heat shrink tubing kit was manufactured by Cooper Crouse-Hinds Airport Lighting Products for use in airport landing lighting, but could be used for any similar requirements. Suitable for direct burial. The tubing has a heat activated adhesive band on each end to produce a water tight seal. The kit includes a cleaning pad to prep the surface and a drying pad for an all-in-1 installation kit. Here is what the installation instructions have to say about this product: Features a mechanically tough polyolefin heat-shrinkable sleeve. The sleeve is designed so one diameter will fit cables as small as 0.375 inch diameter. The sleeve is factory coated with a waterproof sealant at the ends only, leaving the connector area clean and re-enterable. The crosslinked polyolefin sleeve provides excellent moisture, oil and fuel protection. The sleeves are tough and withstand direct burial abuse. Upon application of heat in excess of 275° F (135° C) the sleeve quickly shrinks to a tight fit, conforming to irregular shape of a connector. The shrinking action causes the sealant to melt and flow, forming a positive barrier with high adhesive strength. Shrinking is complete when melted solvent is squeezed from both ends and the heat sensitive paint stripes disappear. Payment Terms: We accept PayPal payments.
