Extra-large knobs feature easy-to-read numbers and provide better control, even while wearing bulky safety gloves. It has UL, CUL, FCC, IEC 1010, CE, and GS regulatory approvals and pass FCC regulations for electromagnetic interference. All units show international symbols for non-English-speaking operators. Flat, bright-white Pyroceram* brand glass ceramic top provides uniform heating and better contrast during applications that require monitoring of color changes. Tops are easy to clean and highly resistant to scratches, corrosion, and chemicals Low-profile design conserves lab space. Unit is only 4 1/2 in. high (11.2cm). Housing features external spill trough to deflect spills away from electronics and control knobs. Enclosed and sealed electronics protect sensitive components from harsh environments. Support rod mount at rear of housing allows a standard support rod to be directly attached to the unit for a thermometer, electrode, or buret. (not included) Hotplate/Stirrers feature a closed-loop stirring control that monitors and regulates speed. The microprocessor automatically adjusts motor strength to accommodate aqueous, viscous, or semi-solid solutions. A stronger, larger magnet improves stir bar coupling and stirring speed capability.
