Corning hot plates stirrers are designed from the ground up for quality, durability and include a wide range of customer-requested features. The Pyroceram* top is flat to provide faster, more uniform heating. It is also whiter than competitors to provide monitoring of color changes. This new top remains easy to clean and is highly resistant to scratches, corrosion and chemical spills. These hot plates are fully enclosed and sealed to protect sensitive components from harsh environments and reduce your maintenance time and costs. A rugged, double ball bearing motor ensures years of reliable service. A support rod mount at the rear of the housing allows a standard retort rod to be directly attached to the unit for a thermometer, electrode, buret, or whatever your application demands. Extra large knobs and large, easy-to-read analog numbers provide better control. Microprocessor design provides superb control of both heating and stirring. Unique software provides more power as needed to assure optimal performance. Bright LED indicator lights let you see unit status at a glance. During operation and after the heat is turned off, an indicator light blinks a warning that the top is too hot to touch (>140°F). A microprocessor ensures minimum heat-up times for samples by supplying maximum power to the heating elements when cold. Temperature Range: 25 to 550°C (77 to 1022°F). 120V, 60 Hz.
