This is a Plastic Injection Mold used to manufacture Reproduction Dash Bezels for a 1964 Corvette. It will mold both A/C and non A/C by changing the inserts. Preferred material is Polycarbonate (PC) but clear ABS or Acrylic could be used. The inserts can be replaced from the parting line while in the machine and it is auto degating, (sub-gated). The molded bezels in the pics have been painted which is a requirement after molding. A mask will have to be used for the 2 tone color and quality of finish will depend upon the actual painting process. The mold is approximately 5" x 8" x 6" and weighs 70 lbs less shipping. The set of 4 pcs. shown, originally made from Acrylic, had been in a display case in the middle of summer and is the reason for some warpage of the plastic, nothing to do with the tool. The parts could also be used for 1965-1967 if a Vacuum Deposition Process is used to apply the chrome coating. 1 of the pockets is slightly large, the reason there only 3 inserts installed. It could be repaired but is not necessary for function. I have described the item to the best of my knowledge and will answer any questions you may have. Will consider offers.
