COSAR 53 Digital Transmission Densitometer DAMAGED .. SOLD AS FOR PARTS OR REPAIR Used to measure optical density of b&w film for typesetters, camera personnel and quality control personnel this is a COSAR-53 Digital Transmission Densitometer. IT HAS BEEN DAMAGED as shown in the pictures, but it powers right up with the included (shown) power supply. MOST of the parts were recovered, but there is still a rattle in it coming from under the damaged acrylic plate. The nylon screws that hold the plate in place are STRIPPED and will not back out using a normal screw driver. This appears to be totally repairable, but since I do not have access to parts and can not remove the plate myself, AND there is no one in my area that is qualified to repair it, I am leaving it up to the purchaser. NO RETURNS ON THIS ITEM!! You are buying it for parts or to repair it. Shipping will be via FedEx Smart Post. This is a VERY HEAVY item when boxed with the power transformer! The NOT so fine print: US sales ONLY!... Or you may use the EBay Global Shipping Program. On ALL insured packages, IF you want a refund for broken or defective item that was NOT shipped as such, you MUST save the packing material and SHOW it to the shipper when you file your claim. This is to expedite the insurance claim. Without that, there will be a very long delay in getting your refund. Pay Pal only for payment. Over 500 repeat transactions SAYS something!
