Countertop Jewelry Display Case older jewelry display case spins around smoothly heavy acrylic pyramid shape dome handsome wood base and interior Good condition (see details below) Handsome wood and heavy acrylic countertop display case (previously used in the Cher-AE Heights casino on the ocean in California). The natural wood base is square with four sides. The acrylic dome rises in a pyramid shape with sloping sides. The interior wood display area is very good-looking with wooden cube cylinders of different heights on which jewelry is to be placed...nine display tops in all...this is for each of the four sides (so that is 36 display tops)...each side is topped with a gold mirror. The piece revolves smoothly. There are three suction cups on the bottom to keep it firmly on a glass counter. I have the fourth suction cup which has simply popped off. On top is a gold colored metal finial - to remove the dome one needs to go from beneath to unscrew a nut (see photos),then when set upright again you pull off the finial and rod that secures the top to the base. Apparently this was originally manufactured for display only and hence the goods were not easily accessible during the day. For changing out the jewelry, of course, that would not be difficult as that would only be done infrequently. So there is no lock on this piece. There are little black acrylic pieces on the top of each display block with what were the prices of their jewelry (cubic zirconia apparently). I think that for someone to use this piece for their own, you would have to pop off those pieces which are probably just glued down. If you want to access the goods more readily I guess you could just leave the nut off and then remove the dome when wanted. Dimensions. Weight is 14 lb, 2 oz before being boxed to ship. It measures 12" square at the base, and 4 1/4" square at the top below the finial. It is 16 1/2" to the top of the finial. Condition is very good. Minor cosmetic scratches on the acrylic dome. A few scratches on the gold metal finial. There's some "display only" notes scotch taped to the sides - they can easily be pulled off. And there is the name of the jewelry company on the front also. To personalize this piece to your store obviously will need a little effort, but it will be worth it as this is a very nice quality professional case that you can be proud of.
