For sale is a very complete Craftsman Atlas 6” 101.07301 metal lathe. It comes with everything one needs to start working for a small machine shop or home enthusiast. I’m an inventor, this lathe was used for prototyping mainly aluminum, plastic parts, and some steel. Prior to that, is was with another machinist cutting brass and aluminum parts. I could basically do anything with this lathe using the, tail stock, steady rest, 4 jaw and all important milling attachment. Included with the lathe are the following: 4' long x2' wide x3"thick base to mount lathe to with steel top · Tail stock with mores taper 1: o 2x dead centers o 1x live center o Great condition Jacobs chuck o Ream/cutter o Threaded tool holder · Original Atlas Steady rest · Original Atlas Milling attachment in great condition o “V” grooved jaw plate o 2x hardened steel Gibb dowel · 3 jaw chuck with key (jaws are worn) · 4 jaw cuck in great condition with key · 4 jaw cuck cracked but works well, still zeroes perfectly and handy as extra chuck with jaws revered (uses same 4 jaw key) · Face plate with dogget · 10x hi speed steel cutters · Lantern tool post · A2Z quick change tool post with: o 4x basic turning and facing holder o 2x parting blade holder o 2x boring bar holder · M2 draw bar with 7 collets: 1/ 8", 1/ 8”, 3/16”, 1/ 4" , 5/16”, 3/ 8, 7/16”, 1/ 2” · Extra gears for lead screw and Threading · New larger half nut installed for accurate threading, there’s no play when lead screw is engaged · A quiet Marathon Electric 1/ 4HP 110V 1P motor Great machine, made me lots of money, sad to see it go but I had to upgrade for a longer bed. This set up was efficient and I have been tooling it up for some time. I have kept this lathe in good condition, oiled and lubricated and kept it very clean. Recently degreased, cleaned and re-oiled/greased. It’s not in perfect condition, the head stock cover was dropped cleaning it and I repaired it, the original paint is still on and is chipped and worn, some small kicks and scratches in the bed none of which affect the carriage and the bed is still very flat. I have made some serious parts involving tolerances of 0.001” very happy with it.
