Awards: Buildings Magazine's Citation of Excellence Award (2005) Durability: To demonstrate the durability of the 450 Series chair, Steelcase ran a test where a skydiver was strapped to the chair, and at 1,000 feet. the skydiver disengaged from the chair, which hit the ground at approximately 100 mph. The base broke off, but the shell of the chair remained undamaged. That's quite a durable chair!! This is a Steelcase 450 Series chair in the Nitelights fabric, Shore color. Chair is new and lovely!
