Critikon Dinamap 1846 SX vital signs monitor This is a device (made by Critikon of Tampa, FL., USA) for measuring blood pressure and pulse rate. On the front of the device are: four digital displays, respectively labelled "MAP mmHg," "PULSE bpm," "SYSTOLIC mmHg," and "DIASTOLIC mmHg;" a power switch; within a painted box labelled "OPERATION," four buttons respectively labelled "AUTO MANUAL," "START," "STAT MODE," and "CANCEL," the first of which has two associated lights (one above and one below) and the third of which has one associated light; within a painted box labelled "ALARMS," four buttons respectively labelled "SELECT," "ON OFF," (with two associated lights, one above, one below) "HIGH LIMIT," and "LOW LIMIT;" and within a painted box labelled "CYCLE," a button labelled "SET," and a small digital display labelled "MINUTES." On the side of the device is a carrying handle. On the top of the device are abbreviated operating precautions. On the back of the device are: a switch labelled "TIME OF DAY;" a 15-pin female D connector labelled "PRINTER;" a 25-pin female D connector labelled "DATA INTERFACE;" an adjuster labelled "ALARM VOL.;" a switch labelled "SWITCH TONE" which can be set to "LOW," "OFF," or "MEDIUM;" two hollow threaded metal connectors labelled "CUFF CONNECTOR," and also respectively labelled "OUTPUT" and "RETURN;" three fuses; and a connector for a standard hospital-grade power cord (included). The unit was plugged in and turned on. Its displays all lit up and the air pump functioned. It wasn't tested with a cuff.
