This unit is a noninvasive blood pressure monitor. On the front are four digital LED displays; one labelled "Cuff kPa Map mmHg", one labelled "Pulse bpm", one labelled "kPa Systolic mmHg" and one labelled "kPa Diastolic mmHg". There is a set of four buttons in a group labelled "operation"; "auto manual", "start", "stat mode" and "cancel". The outer membrane of the start button is missing and it is currently nonfunctional (see testing section below). Another group labelled "alarms" has the buttons "select", "high limit", "on/off" and "low limit". There is a fifth digital LED display labelled "minutes" in a group labelled "cycle", along with a button labelled "set". There's also a power on/off button. On the right side of the front is a thermal printer that takes 8cm paper. It has a printer on/off switch, a paper advance wheel, and an indicator LED. A set of 5 instruction cards are built into the bottom of this unit. On the back of the unit is a switch labelled "time of day", a switch labelled "switch tone" next to an adjustment screw labelled "alarm vol.", a pair of cuff tube connectors, a 15-pin female D connector labelled "printer", and a 25-pin female D connector labelled "Data interface". This unit takes a standard three-prong computer-style power cord (not included). The unit was plugged in using a borrowed power cord. The start button is nonfunctional, but when the electrical contacts were shorted using a screwdriver the unit started up correctly. The printer successfully printed settings and the displays functioned. Since the start button needs repairs, however, this unit is being provided as a source of spare parts.
