ONLY IF YOU BUY IT NOW, I shall send you a (rare find) never opened box containing a new (unused, old stock) CRT; OTHERWISE, at any LOWER price you offer, you will get a USED CRT This cathode ray tube fits all Tektronix 2400series analog scopes (except 2467 & 2467B). It also fits 2440, 2432, 2432A, 2430A, and 2430 digitizing scopes. Tek would charge around $4000 for one of these today if they were still for sale, which they're not (Tek retired all their glassblowers by 1995). They charged about $2000 back in 1996 for 1. Photo shows the unopened box you'll get at buy-it-now. The box contains sufficient protection for shipping. 2nd photo shows what a used CRT looks like. In between $0 and $1300, there is quite a range, and if you offer less than $1300, the hours on the CRT you'll get shall be inversely proportional to your generosity. Count on about 30000 hours or more at $80 or less (I see no reason to buy any CRT with such high hours), about 15000 hours at $150, about 10000 hours at $250, about 5000 hours at $400, about 3000 hours at $650. If you're ready to pay the BIN price for a new CRT but don't know how to swap it with your old one, I will do it for you at no extra charge if you send me your scope on a paid for by you round trip. I will even adjust the few controls that may need to be adjusted with such a swap. I cannot extend that offer to a used CRT offer at less than $650, and due to border/customs complications, I only offer this swap service to USA clients. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. Even when you offer full B-I-N price (for unused CRT) you are really offering only $1140 to me because ebay keeps just over 10% as sales commission (this buys you the right to post feedback on me, so be generous if you can) and paypal keeps 3-4% of money transfered thru paypal (this buys you speed and consumer protection). Ebay will not let me spell out here how you can pay me $1140 that won't cost you $1300, but they'll give you all the contact info you'd need with any (even a $5 handle label) first ebay purchase from me. Nothing would prevent this one being a 2nd on which you could save $120 or more. IF YOU MAKE AN OFFER FOR LESS than B-I-N, YOU SHALL GET A USED CRT with hours inversely proportional to your generousity as outlined above, UNLESS: you are a foreign buyer trying to save on customs duty tax by splitting the purchase into 2 payments, the first being the official price to be taxed, and the second for the difference to not be taxed (Paypal will give you my paypal name with the first payment enabling you to quickly make the second). Ebay & Paypal rules do not feel tracking/delivery confirmation of USPS airmail is good enough for foreign shipments, but we can use FEDEX if you don't mind the added cost .
