This is a CST Magna-Trak 101 Magnetic Locator.  This unit allows the operator to locate ferrous (metal) objects under ground, snow, water and other substances. Unit is in fair condition with heavy signs of use from normal field usage. No structural damage at all.  Locator operates off of 6 standard AA batteries (not included).   It powers on perfectly, the display is in excellent shape. I tested it indoors and outdoors and had no problem detecting ferrous objects, the sensitivity and volume controls work as designed and when turned they clearly make a difference as to the sensitivity of objects and the total volume level (quiet to loud). A case is included that fits the unit like a glove; one of the locking clasps on the case is missing but the other one holds it shut firmly and securely.
