Precision-lapped granite worktable for stability and accuracy. “primarily used the machine for popping holes in carbide for wire machine start holes… sometimes used it for popping holes in punches for ejector pins”   Current EDM's Model ST300 EDM Drill enables precision deep-hole drilling of hard alloys to depths up to 300 times electrode diameter. This unique system is capable of fast and accurate performance, drilling a 0.040" hole through 1- inch tool steel in approximately 35 seconds, virtually burr- free. The ST300 can drill at all angles using electrodes ranging from 0.004" to 0.256" in diameter. "Running-costs" are greatly reduced because the ST300 uses additive-free water dielectric fluid. The optional EDM oil "HC Package" enables superior performance when drilling carbides and other sintered materials. Rugged construction includes a cast bridge design keeping overhead X and Y ways free from dielectric sprays resulting in cleaner operation and reduced maintenance.
