Cushman 1B2, 5hp engine .  I purchased it off the Smoke Stak website about 12 years ago.  The engine was complete minus the magneto and crank sprocket.  I had to replace the piston, and wrist pin.  The timing gear was shattered  and a new one was made.  New valves were installed as well as the head gasket.  All the machine work was done by Stan Ellerbeck in Excelsior Springs, Mo.  The intake manifold was broken so had that welded but a fine crack has appeared.  I am including a EK mag with a weak sporadic spark, missing the bottom cover.  The cooling tank is original Cushman.  This model Cushman usually had another source of water supply. Orchard Sprayer wagons used this engine and it was hooked up to an onboard water supply.  The crank sprocket was used to drive a pump.  The cart is a vintage supply house unit (70-80 years old).  The wood is stained pine and oak.  Fuel tank is off a Wisconsin.  I have been able to get the engine to fire 3 or 4 times but it's evident the timing off.  A little about myself.  I have collected Cushman engines for over 20 years.  Born and raised in Lincoln, Ne.  it was only natural for me to collect CUSHMAN's.  I hate to let this RARE engine go, but I am down sizing and am done with projects.  If you have questions please call me at  913-685-9607.
