Up for grabs here is a custom made air raid siren control box. I constructed this myself using brand new electrical and radio components. The Federal Signal AR timer came from West Shore in great shape, though I had an auto body shop professionally refinish the box and switch guards; it really looks better than new. It has an outdoor grade vinyl Civil Defense decal to top it all off. I also replaced the wiring diagram with one freshly printed on heavy card stock. The timer is mounted to the back with fiber washers on either side of the screw holes, protecting the timer from being marred/bent. If for nothing else, the AR timer you'd pull from this setup is the cleanest/most beautiful one out there. The radio is a broad spectrum scanner, it will tune to any radio frequency. It has an attached DTMF decoder, which has built-in relays that control the AR timer. All three functions (alert, attack, cancel) work via the DTMF decoder. The external antenna is mounted through the enclosure with a watertight, military grade bulkhead connector. I built this as a hobbyist, back when I still had my Federal Model 2 siren. It works with both 120V and 240V sources, included is a standard 120V to 240V plug diversion cable so you can use it with a standard wall socket. This is a really innovative and fun kit for anyone into radios, civil defense/Cold War sirens, and electronics in general. I designed and built it while in college. I have operated it via my amateur radio, and it set off my Model 2 siren like a charm. There's nothing like setting off an air raid siren from your bedroom...  This is a heavy piece of kit, somewhere around 40-45 pounds. Shipping will be expensive, though it will go via UPS fully insured. Local pickup is welcome. Happy bidding :-)
