This sale is for a pack of ten #21D (down cut) saw blades for your Cutawl. They are designed to utilize the best features of the Cutawl saw, easily cutting lines and patterns in sheet goods such as brass, copper, cardboard, fiberglass, plywood and other materials. (A more complete list of materials ((with maximum thickness in parentheses)) is at the bottom of this listing.) These blades are made of an extremely strong high carbon steel, and with a chisel point and saw toothed side, cycling 50 times a second, they will move easily through your material. Your cut edge will be nicely finished. This may be the most generally useful of the Cutawl saw blades for flat sheet goods. You may start your cut anywhere on your pattern with this blade because of the chisel point. The materials (and maximum thickness) for which this blade is designed are as follows: acatate (3/8"); asphalt tile (1/4"); beaver board (11/16"); brass (1/8"); hard cardboard (1/2"); cellulose acetate (1/4"); cellulose nitrate or Celluloid (1/8"); copper (1/8"); fiberboard (5/8"); Foamex/Sintra (1/4"); foamed plastic (11/16"); Fomecor (11/16"); lead (1/8"); linoleum (1/4"); Mylar (1/4"); Nylon (1/4"); plywood (1/4"); polystyrene (1/4"); polyvinyl (1/4"); pressed board (3/8"); Prime-Cor-X (3/8"); hard rubber (3/16"); Styrofoam (1/2"); Teflon (1/4"); vinyl acetate, Vinylite, Vinyloid (1/4"); zinc (1/8"). Other materials of a similar nature to these may also be cut with this blade. Do not exceed the maximum depth of sheet goods listed above at any time. Other cutawl blades are available for cutting thicker sheet goods. NOTE: The top of the blade must NOT rise above the top of the chisel block. See the instructions provided with your Cutawl for stroke and clearance adjustments. Because of their high carbon content and specialized heat treatments, these blades are always susceptible to oxidation staining if not kept well oiled and in a dry location. These Cutawl blades have been blued with gun finish and some have been made with stainless steel to minimize oxidation, all with minimal success. Seconds after cutting into any material, the staining and surface treatments will be gone and you will have a nice shiny blade! I have several different blade lots in stock at all times.
