If so, we think you should consider looking at the Dahle CleanTEC 41522, a shredder that's new to the market. We had a chance to try this machine out, so here's what we discovered about its strengths and weaknesses: Features/ Strengths: The 41522 is a cross-cut shredder that comes with a Level 4 security rating. It will give you a terrific amount of protection so you can safely shred confidential documents that contain Social Security numbers, banking information, and so on. This machine can accommodate paper that's up to 12” wide. You can shred up to 13 sheets at a time which adds up to about 16 feet of paper per minute. The sheets can even have paper clips and staples still attached to them. Also, you can use this device to shred debit/credit cards and CD's and DVD's. All in all, it's very versatile. The 41522 was designed for smaller offices and because of this, it has a 38-gallon waste bin. The machine operates quietly to ensure that the people in your office won't be distracted when someone is shredding. This is one of the shredders in Dahle's CleanTEC series. Each machine has a unique CleanTEC filtration system that keeps paper dust from getting into the air so you and your colleagues can stay as healthy as possible. This machine has a really unique safety feature. If you yell “Stop!” or tap the top of the device, it will stop running so you can avoid any mishaps. The shredder can also help you conserve energy because it doesn't use a lot of power when it's idling. The 41522 comes with 2 warranties. The first is a lifetime warranty that covers the cutting cylinders. The second is a 2-year warranty for parts and labor. Finally, maintenance is easy because this machine is equipped with a self-oiler. Limitations/Weaknesses: Since this shredder has a such a large waste bin, it's going to take up a lot of room. It measures 34.5” (height) x 29” (width) x 20” (depth) so you'll need to have a large enough place to put it. Although a 13-sheet shredding capacity is terrific for a cross-cut unit, the 41522 might not be suitable for your needs if you want to shred 20+ sheets at once. Recommendation: Like many of the other devices in Dahle's CleanTEC lineup, the 41522 is pretty impressive and we highly recommend it. Its couple of weaknesses aren't that problematic (unless, of course, you want to shred dozens of sheets at once) but its strengths are numerous. We're impressed with this machine's shredding capabilities, warranties, and all of the special features especially the air filtration system.
