You are bidding on one Dataradio Multi-Site Controller. Model # MSC-8. This item appears to be new, but I'm selling as used as I don't know the exact history of the unit. It will be shipped in the original shipping box. I have powered the unit on. Please see the attached screenshot (No screen included). No further testing was done. You will also receive one key to turn on unit, and one adapter. Here is a description of what this device does: The Dataradio Multi-Site Controller (MSC) is the Wide Area Network controller of a Dataradio mobile data system. If your private mobile computing needs include Wide Area Network capabilities, you need an MSC. It’s a powerful, flexible network solution that can handle up to 5,000 vehicles in a large geographic area. Because the MSC makes a multi-tower system look like a single-tower network, it locates mobiles, manages traffic, and ensures the highest possible data throughput. FEATURES • Adds Wide Area Network capabilities to networks • Efficiently manages frequency reuse and overlapping coverage • Automatically tracks roaming mobiles • Compatible with Dataradio DMP single tower software • TCP/IP LAN interface available • Supports multiple independent host connections • Network management statistics • One-year limited factory warranty DATARADIO MULTI-SITE CONTROLLER (MSC) Wide area networking of private mobile data networks is becoming more common. Networks require an effective combination of overlapping coverage with timely and accurate routing of messages. The Dataradio MSC was designed to provide the most efficient control of wide area networks to enable maximum frequency usage. This becomes important when dealing with a variety of (or lack of) frequency resources. I have more Dataradio components available.
