Product Description This Parker Dayco 7092 series red general service hose is suitable for transferring air, water, or a range of agricultural chemicals, including alachlor, in a variety of applications. It can withstand contact with oil mist, such as with air tool lubrication, but should not be used for transferring petroleum products. Its tube is made of black Rubber Manufacturers of America (RMA) Class C EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) for limited oil resistance, which means that it will undergo a maximum volume change of +100% and will retain a minimum of 40% of its tensile strength after exposure to oil. Its cover is made of red EPDM for resistance to heat, sunlight, ozone, and weathering. This hose is reinforced with closely plied high tensile textile cord spirals for improved coupling retention, and kink resistance. It has a temperature range of -40 to +212 degrees F, and has a burst rating at least four times its maximum working pressure rating, known as a 4:1 safety factor. This general service hose can be used with a variety of coupling options (not included), and is suitable for a wide range of industrial, commercial, and agricultural applications. Industrial hoses transfer or convey air or liquid in hose systems. The hose must be capable of withstanding the minimum and maximum temperatures that occur within the hose system. Some applications require specialized oils or chemicals to be conveyed through the system. In this case, hose selection must ensure compatibility of the hose tube, cover, couplings and O-rings with the fluid used.
