The tie-back option brings even more versatility to the Nano-Lok line of self-retracting lifelines. The Nano-Lok 3101368 is a single-leg SRL with a 36 in. webbing line and special tie-back snap hook at the end of the 6 ft. lifeline. This allows the lanyard to be looped around a wide range of anchorage points and connect back to itself. Not all lanyards are rated to be tied back to themselves. The 3101368 Nano-Lok features the Wrapbax snap hook which provides a minimum of 5,000 lbs. gate strength to compensate for the added stress of the tie-back function. The Nano-Lok SRLs have a total weight capacity of 420 lbs. The top of this particular Nano-Lok SRL housing has a swiveling anchor loop. This is a great option for keeping the prices down for companies who already have OSHA-compliant carabiners or other attachment methods and don't need to purchase more. Nano-Lok retracting lanyards help keep fall distances to a minimum. Internal breaking mechanisms stop falls within inches, significantly reducing fall forces and offering the worker a far greater chance for self-rescue. Compare this with the 18 ft. of fall clearance needed for a shock-absorbing lanyard, SRLs simply provide better fall protection.
