For Sale - A fully reconditioned vintage DELTA UNISAW JR. - $1,050.00 Up for sale is this very rare, complete, and all original 1950 Delta 8” Unisaw Junior. This scaled down, smaller version of the famous Unisaw was only manufactured by Delta in the years 1949, 1950, and 1951. This vintage table saw has been totally disassembled and completely rebuilt. The saw is in excellent condition, fully functional, and ready to run with no additional effort or required work. The saw is Model 34-260, serial number 84-8747, and was built in 1950. The saw has a 25” x 33” top, comprised of the base center unit and two extension wings. This saw was totally disassembled, with all components being thoroughly cleaned and/or sandblasted before everything was primed, finish painted, and reassembled. The saw is as good on the inside as it is on the outside. There is no rust or corrosion on this saw. The cabinet has no dings, dents, or extra holes in it. The sheet metal is as solid as the day it was made. The following list details the saw’s rebuild work and features: · The arbor bearings were replaced with new. · The heavy duty v-belt is new. · The motor pulley and arbor shaft pulley are both new. · The 17 foot Type SJO electrical cord and Hubbell cord end are new. · The shafts, spacers, and gears were cleaned and/or polished like new. · Thrust washers at the lift and tilt shafts are new. · Stainless steel leveling feet were installed at all four cabinet corners. · The 1/2 HP OEM capacitor start was checked out at a local motor shop and found to have excellent bearings and brushes, so it was left original. · The original motor name plate is intact and very legible. · New dust covers were fabricated from the original patterns and installed on both ends of the motor along with a cast cover for the unused shaft of the dual shaft motor. · A later Unisaw cast switch box was installed to upgrade from Junior’s factory bat handle toggle switch and OEM switch plate. · The switch is a new Pass-Seymour single pole commercial toggle reworked to correctly fit the cast switch housing. · The Unisaw switch plate is a new reproduction stainless steel replacement plate. · A “no-drill” wrench hanger was installed at the front right table top bolt. · The saw top is free of holes, straight, flat, and has a fine grain sanded finish. · The saw cabinet was never cut and or repaired in any way. It is straight, rust free, and 100% stock · The saw cabinet was sandblasted and finished in an attractive gray automotive base coat/clear coat professionally applied finish. · The arbor is complete with the blade washer and a new heavy duty replacement left hand threaded nut. · The elevate and tilt hand wheels and mechanisms work operate smoothly and effortlessly. · The lock knobs on both hand wheels are fully functional. · The saw comes with an excellent original stock Delta miter, including a Delta OEM miter adjustment wrench. · The original Junior fence has also been totally disassembled and reconditioned. · All components of the fence are present and fully functional. · The fence rails are complete with the original stand-off fasteners, and have good gear teeth on the underside for the fully functioning micro adjustment of the fence. · The saw’s internal components, including the underside of the top, were sandblasted, primered, and painted with matching gray industrial enamel. · The original overhead blade guard is fully reconditioned, fully functional, and included with the saw. · The saw comes with complete with a black powder coated OEM arbor wrench. · Where possible, reassembly was done with stainless steel or zinc plated fasteners. · The saw comes with the original throat insert plate. · A new still-in-the-package 8” carbide toothed saw blade is included. · The saw is currently wired for 115V single phase use. · Overall…this saw is as good as they come. If you need your purchase to be shipped, I will professionally crate this saw for an additional $100 and arrange for the shipping. The crating will include a custom fit pallet, cushioned protection for the saw’s table since it will ship upside down, moisture protection, and completely enclosed 3/4 ” x 8” individual slat wall side board and top construction. I will arrange and deliver to a local freight forwarding company….. and provide a firm quote for freight based on your zip code, whether the destination is residential or commercial, and your ability to unload. The cost of the truck freight would be at the Buyer’s expense. It is more economical to pay us in advance for the freight once we have provided a firm quote, versus having the saw ship freight collect, but this would be entirely the Buyer’s decision. For comparison purposes, the last reconditioned Unisaw Junior I sold shipped about one month ago in a similar custom made crate to New Jersey at a freight cost of $250.
