Selling my Denford Starturn PC CNC desktop Fanuc training slant bed lathe.   Don't be fooled by this small lathe, it's all business!  These lathes  originally sold for over 30,000! This is a highly  accurate CNC lathe that I've used for cutting aluminum parts.  It's  marketed as a training lathe primarily used in colleges and universities to  train people on how to use a CNC lathe and how to program in the Fanuc language.   This is a completely functional lathe in great shape.  I have all the manuals  including the training manual.  If you know nothing about CNC programming  this will take you from step one to expert CNC programmer.  For instance when I  bought this I knew NOTHING about CNC programming, now after going through the manual  I can CNC program, cut, use and have even upgraded to a larger lathe and I'm  currently making and selling parts online.   Let me say again, this thing is no toy.  It's about 275 pounds itself,  the control box is maybe another 75 pounds and the whole setup is conveniently  sitting on a roll around cart.  Total footprint of cart is 3 feet by 2  feet, it can fit just about anywhere.  The unit runs on standard 110 AC as  it has it's own step up 240v transformer, just plug it in to a regular wall  outlet  and your ready to go.  It has the controlling computer with Windows 3.1  which I've used the standard 3 1/4 disks to load programs.  The computer  also has a cd drive but I've never used that to load programs.   I've made a custom gang tool holder that is currently mounted on the table.   Also comes with the factory adjustable tool holder to hold square tools.  I  also made an aluminum plate that bolts to the CNC table and has 2 T-Slots to  mount other tools easily.  After I went through the training manual I was  programming and making parts easily as the lathe will operate as a standard CNC  machine.  I just programmed the part in my CNC programming program, loaded the program into  the computer via 3 1/4 disk and started making parts.  This lathe even threads perfectly  and will even do reverse left hand threads.  I've made many shifter rods  for motorcycles as they have right and left hand threads on either side of the  rod.  It also peck drills and does canned cycles, this is a serious machine  in a small package. It has the Yamakawa 4 inch chuck with outside and inside jaws.  The  lathe has a top speed of 1800 RPM.  I forget the rapids as I haven't used  the lathe in a couple of years but I think it was around 40-50IPM.  It's  completely ball screw driven with highly accurate stepper motors.  It's quiet and run very smooth.   Comes as a complete setup with Windows 3.1 computer, flat screen monitor,  keyboard and mouse, all manuals and everything shown in pictures. I have a stack  of blank 3 1/4 disks for you to use, the original software disks that originally  came with the machine, all the manuals for operation-setup-and training, tool  holders, inside and outside jaws, spare bellows to cover bed, security key to  load and run programming software already loaded on the Windows computer (the  operation software doesn't require the key).     I can start up the machine and show you how it operates.  I've easily  loaded and transported it in the back of my Dodge Dakota pickup so it's easy to  move.  Local pick up only and I might be able to deliver the machine if you  live close to Malden MA.     Thanks for looking.
