VINTAGE *LARGE & HEAVY* ~30 Lbs Plus~ DETECTO SCALE SERIES 40S 30 lbs x 1Oz SERIAL #80196 NICE PRE-OWNED VINTAGE SCALE *CIRCA 40'S* BIG HANGING SCALE TWO SIDED SCALE 18" Tall X 15" Wide X 4"-5" Thick Last known Calibration September 1979 Detecto Scale Series 40S. The jacobs Bros.Co. Includes storage box with sliding plexiglass door for easy removal and protection. Also includes the hook that a basket would hang from and a chain. The basket is not included in this sale. This scale was in use and calibrated as recently as 1979 in New Braunfels,Tx by a scale company. This scale was used for fishing tournament weigh ins since the 1950's and has been keep very well and was calibrated regularly as money was involved. It is housed in a wooden box as I said that box has a plexiglass sliding door. Great scale for a meat market or fishing tournaments or anything else you could imagine.
