Other features that come with Detex EAX-500 include a modern graphics cover that demonstrates key rotation and operation, LED visual and audible arming indicators, a field selectable 2-minute auto-rearm feature, and field selectable status indicators. This device is operated by a 9VDC battery that comes with a Low Battery Alert. Notable features of the Detex EAX-500 include a patented plastic template that allows for accurate installation of the internal magnetic door contact. The device also boasts a tapered cover that makes it suitable for narrow stile doors with a minimum width of 2 inches. The intelligent circuit senses the location of external magnet requirements and automatically sets the right door handing.
