Detroit Diesel 4-71 Engine Description: Nice find here -- Detroit 4-71 already on a skid with a radiator and in running condition! Comes with everything you see -- take it off the skid and stick it in whatever piece of equipment you need it for, or hook a PTO up to this unit and get yourself a really cheap power plant! In running this engine we noticed a small antifreeze leak from the eye-bolt on top (see pictures,) likely from someone moving it with a hook recently and damaging the gasket. As we ran it, it seemed to clear up. You may need to replace that gasket in the future. We see no evidence of cracking or other damage.
