The female National Pipe Thread Taper (NPT) threads connect to male NPT-threaded connections. Stainless steel 303 provides better machining characteristics than stainless steel 316. The coupler meets MIL-C-4109F/A-A-59439 specifications for quick-disconnect coupling halves for hoses and portable pneumatic tools. This coupler's maximum working pressure (MWP) is 300 pounds per square inch (psi) (20.41 bar) in a temperature range from -40 to +250 degrees F (-40 to +121.11 degrees C). This semi-automatic coupler has a pull sleeve to connect operation, and shuts off when disconnected. This air service only coupler is used for applications such as pneumatic tools, tire inflation, and general purpose air handling in industrial operations.
