Vacuum machine  dxf format files for CNC cutting delivered on CD Build your own thermal plastic vacuum forming machine and simple heater box**. The CD includes dxf format files for CNC plasma, water jet, or laser cutting. We will also provide access to a plumbing schematic, a basic parts list, photos, drawings, and videos to help with assembly. These dxf files can be used to build a cheap single stage unit using only a shop vac or a more professional 2 stage system which also uses a vacuum pump and holding tank. Designed for use with 24 x 24 plastic sheets. Working area is 19.5 x 20.  Background: We originally designed this table to make some parts for our CabinBike™ enclosed motorcycle and have since used it for many projects around the shop. First, we built a couple of those MDF vacuum tables you may have seen on the internet. MDF or wood tables just didn't work well enough for professional quality parts. MDF or wood machines won't hold a vacuum for long and cannot pull 'full' vacuum because they leak right through the pores in the wood! So, we designed a simple all metal machine. Our metal machine can pull and hold full vacuum until it is released... something those MDF based machines just can't do. We were so happy with the performance of this machine that we decided to make the plans available.  The CD includes dxf files for CNC cutting (does not include any parts). Photos of the actual equipment are for informational purposes only. Here is a short video showing how the machine works: **The heater we used costs about $35 at Walmart and works great for .090 polystyrene. Thicker plastic or ABS will require more heat (i.e. dual heaters). Produced by Fred Nelson Fabrication.  All rights reserved.
