You are considering a DoAll Horizontal Metal Cutting Band Saw with Mitering ability. We have listed this saw as "fair" overall condition due to its cosmetic appearance and a few flaws that I will list below. The saw is used and shows normal wear, scratches, paint loss, etc. from use and handling. This saw came out of the maintenance shop of a local school. They recently upgraded all their equipment and this saw was taken out of service. It was stored outside under a lean-to and was exposed to the elements for a short time. Therefore, the bare metal areas do have surface rust on them, most of which would probably clean up. Flaws we have noticed: The handle for adjusting the variable speed has 2 broken spokes (see 11th picture). You can still adjust the blade speed with the handle, but the handle wiggles. The variable speed is easy to adjust, so we assume the handle must have been hit somehow, which caused the damage. The support table, that attaches just under the blade to hold the material being cut, has been nearly sawn through where it attaches (see 10th picture). We removed it from the saw to keep it from breaking the rest of the way off. It may be possible for you to weld the break up, or it may be easier to just make a new top piece. The work light is missing. It still has the on/off switch and wire where it hooked up on the control panel, but the light itself is gone. There's a pretty good dent in the chip tray on the back side (see 4th picture). This is mainly cosmetic and it may be possible to straighten it out. The last known flaw is that the coolant tank that attaches just under the chip tray on the motor end of the saw is missing. The coolant pump is still attached to the saw and works fine. You will need to come up with some sort of tank or bucket to use with the blade coolant system. **There may be other minor flaws that we overlooked, but these are the main things that may need addressed before putting to saw to work. Operationally, this saw is in good overall condition and everything seems to work as it should. We have test run this saw and the drive motor runs strong. There is no excess noise that would indicate bearing problems in the motor or the band wheels. All of the pneumatics work and as mentioned above, the variable speed and coolant pump work as they should. The blade that it on the saw is in okay shape and there is a spare unused blade included. The blade cleaning wire wheel brush is worn and needs replaced. NOTE: The picture of the nameplate data shows that the saw is wired for 460V operation, but this is incorrect. Saw is currently wired for 230V. It can be rewired for 460 if needed. Mfg.
