Domed False Bottom, 9in (22.9cm) Stainless Steel A false bottom is used for creating a mash tun, lauter tun, or sparging setup using a stock pot, plastic bucket, picnic cooler or other container. It provides high-performance filtering while allowing maximum liquid flow. The stainless steel construction makes it durable and easy to clean. The center of the dome is equipped with a 3/8in (10mm) barbed elbow fitting to attach a rubber hose and clamp. Simply place the false bottom in the mash tun and run the tubing to your collection container. The 9in size is perfect for smaller vessels like 5 gallon coolers or small buckets. Tubing, clamps and other accessories sold separately. We recommend using our thicker 3/8in ID x 5/8in OD tubing when used in conjuction with higher temperatures.
