The device is powered by rechargeable batteries or AAA batteries. It comes with an operating manual and two AAA batteries. The radioactivity indicator estimates the background radiation in magnitude of ionizing radiation (gamma and beta-particle flux) based on X-ray radiation. During measurement, the screen displays the current value of the level of background radiation in mSv/h, and also displays a text message indicating the background radiation level. The Dosimeter Soeks 01M features a color TFT, 128x160 display, and operates in temperatures from 20 to 60 degrees Celsius. The Dosimeter Soeks 01M Radiation Geiger Counter Detector (model 2014) is a Russian-made device with a Russian menu option that features complete dosimeter capabilities. It measures not only the current radiation but also the accumulated dose. With a new search function, it's easier to locate the source of radiation contamination. The dosimeter also has the highest measurement speed (10 seconds) among domestic dosimeters and a body made of rubberized plastic. Its audible alarm warns of entering a zone of increased radiation. The Dosimeter Soeks 01M charges via USB-port or network adapter and has a new processor that allows the dosimeter to load immediately. It also has an increased running time of up to 50 hours. This device is designed to measure the accumulated radiation dose, assess the level of radioactivity, and detect objects, food, building materials, and infected radioactive elements.
