For sale is a double-layered mesh draw string bag measuring about 27 inches long by 18 inches wide when laid flat. The opening will fit over a 10-11 inch diameter flower pot. They won't quite fit over a standard 5 gallon pail which are usually 12 inches in diameter. They are new but the tags have been removed. I'm not sure about the material, but I believe they are nylon. I believe the stamp indicates they are rated at 60 microns (the size of the openings) which is about the diameter of a fine human hair. They are ideal for rearing caterpillars on living plants outside (see last picture), either on the ends of tree or shrub branches or on living potted plants. I have also used them for drying and collecting flower seeds. These were originally intended for filtration and could be used in applications involving separating liquids from solids, such as cheese, beer, and wine making. They could also be used for mechanical filtration of ponds and aquariums. Although they have been stored in a box, I would recommend thoroughly cleaning them before use, especially for use with food or beverage preparation.
