The Puck Engine's modern twist on an old idea utilizes a flat-head, valve-in-block design, coupled with a high-compression head and modern valve timing. It is a unique engine that is both beautiful and a good performer. The prototype engine is capable of turning a 8x4 prop at 10,500rpm and weighs in at 10.5 oz. This set is one of the most comprehensive sets on the market as the drawings were produced by a professional engineer and draftsman in 3D CAD. Every part is detailed with two-dimensional views and a three-dimensional isometric rendering. The set also includes a detailed, exploded view to aid with part identification and assembly of the engine. LITTLELOCOS MODEL ENGINEERING proudly presents the LME-125 "Puck" Engine Project Plans Set. These plans are for a 4-stroke, Flat-Head Model Airplane Engine. The set includes 19 pages of detailed engine Drawings, 4 pages of fixture drawings, and a 57 Page Instruction Manual with machining instructions. The plans also include a detailed parts listing with stock sizes for all fabricated parts and suppliers for all purchased parts. The Puck Engine is the answer to requests for an engine that is simpler and easier to machine than LME-370 "Pip" 3-cylinder Radial Engine. It has far fewer parts and does not require any odd angles or complicated machining set-ups. Please note that the drawing set includes drawings and instructions only. The engine is designed for construction by the home shop machinist or model engineer who is interested in building and running their own model airplane engine. Equipment required includes a metal lathe, milling machine, and a horizontal/vertical rotary table with indexing plates. The prototype was constructed on an Atlas 10" metal lathe and Grizzly Mill-Drill.
