For Auction/Sale:  A Sealed Industrial Grade Twin Volts-Amps Meter box that was probably used ineither Aircraft service, military service or perhaps in a plant.  It came from an estate where there were large military transmitters as well as equipment from the US Naval Air Station in New Orleans.  The box has three 8-32 x 1" studs on the top and three on the bottom for mounting somewhere.  These are protected by wooden strips. The meters are working off of at least two shunts each: one dc voltage and one ac amps for the right meter.  It's legend reads "100 mV & 100 uA Full Scale".  The left meter is also calibrated in both volts & amps but I cannot see what the full scale native values are.  They have to be working off of shunts but the case is riddles with screws & bolts and we chose not to try to open it.  On the back of the enclosure are the input connections.  These meter connections are on glass-ceramic feed-thru's on the back.  There is a set called M1 and a set called M2.  It is a sealed box but we do not know if it is explosion proof or not because of the exposed input connection feed-throughs on the back.  Plants differ from one to another on what this means but our suspicion is that this probably does not meet modern OSHA requirements as it sits.  Given some closure to the feed throughs, it might be.  If you are an Instrument Technician, you would know what to do. On the back are two 1" x 20 threads/inch threaded ports which were used for desiccant tubes.  I have those listed in another auction as they were more commonly employed to protect aircraft engines. I can bundle if you will contact me before they sell or purchase the two together. Finally, each meter has a pair of knobs underneath them which have something to do with the meters. The outer small knob is a sealing cap that when removed reveals an adjustment screw.  The larger cylindrical knob below it is unknown. Are they for switching scales?  Or are they for making some other adjustment ... we don't know.  We did not want to try to remove them or turn them very much for fear of doing something wrong.   We have no more information on this unit. Application:  This could be very useful for monitoring voltages at a transmitter site, a repeater tower site  or other site where equipment gets exposed to the elements. Condition:  Used, in respectable physical shape but it has not been tested or explored electrically.  The box has no signs of abuse or having been dropped despite the obvious appearance that it is well used.  The glass is clear and only the outside steel box is showing some finish issues.   Shipping:  This unit despite its seemingly small size is heavy and is approximately 16 x 10 x 8 in size.  The packed unit is 18 x 12 x 12 with a weight at least 28 lbs.  Shipping will be closely estimated and any excess will be returned to the buyer if there is enough to warrant the time.  Buyer pays $2.50 towards the boxing & handling. Terms:  Sold as a vintage collectible for possible use or for parts and strictly as is.
