This vintage ice cube make bears the Patent No. 2,086,253 which dates to July 6th, 1937.  This unique patent was granted to Charles F. Belshaw of Greenville, Michigan. Of course this piece does dates prior to ice cube trays so you do need a large block of ice and sime hot water in order to make cubes.  It is inceed a very unique piece of ice cube making history.  It is 7.5 inches long, 5 inches wide and stands 3 inches tall. You can make 15 ice cubes at a time.
