Tractor Restoration: Paintwork DVD Description This is an excellent, detailed DVD that shows you how to get a professional-looking paint job, on your classic tractor! Alan starts by assessing the problems posed by an individual job, then, after dis-assembly, goes meticulously through preparation. He shows how light damage to tinwork can be repaired - how he fills, sands and stops. He explains why he is doing jobs in a particular way, drawing on his extensive experience as a professional restorer.In part 2, Alan moves on to the techniques of spraying, beginning with some principles - the spray booth, choice of paints, types of spray guns, and how to mix paint. We watch while he cleans and de-greases the tinwork, sprays primer, and then flats it down. Masking and polishing out minor blemishes is also shown. Even when he applies decals, Alan shares advice for the amateur restorer. In the last part of the video, he shows how to bring wheels back to perfection, and deals with the chassis.
