Dynatronix Compact Rectifier with Remote Mach-2 & Microstar * CRS9-250 * 9V 25A Dynatronix Compact Rectifier with Remote Mach-2 with Microstar Model: CRS9-250 Part #999-0992-031 Serial #0733703 Overall Dimensions: 17" W x 23.5" L x 7" H Input: 208-240 VAC | 20 A | 50/60 Hz | 1 Ph Output: 9 V | 25 A Average 47 lbs From the Manufacturer: The Dynatronix CRS Series of compact rectifiers are of the switch mode design. The CRS Series are sealed power supplies and therefore are better suited to be operated in a harsh plating environment. Two of the advantages of this type of rectifier are high efficiency and less weight per volt-ampere output. There are 2 versions of the CRS, one is the standard DC unit and the other is an LFP (low frequency pulse) version. Both of these versions can also be configured with the option of periodically reversing the output. During operation, an A.C. line voltage of 110-120, 208-240 or 220-240 volts at a frequency of 50-60 Hz is applied to the input terminals of the rectifier. Primary line protection is provided by a circuit breaker/switch and a rectifier fuse. Protection for the control circuitry is also provided by a separate .25 amp fuse.  The line voltage is rectified by the primary rectifier and the resulting D.C. voltage is stored in the filter capacitor. The voltage at this capacitor is approximately 325-350 volts. The high voltage D.C. is converted to a square wave of approximately 50 KHz by two transistor switches in the primary winding of the main power transformer. This transformer is of the step down type whose secondary voltage amplitude is based on the output voltage rating of the rectifier. The secondary output is rectified by one half of a high speed rectifier assembly during the "ON" time of the primary switch transistors and the resulting energy is stored in the filter choke and its associated capacitor. During "OFF" time of the primary switch transistors the energy stored in the filter choke is commutated through the second half of the rectifier through the shunt, the negative output terminal, through the load and then back to the positive output terminal and thence to the positive side of the filter capacitor. To accomplish current regulation, a millivolt signal is taken from the shunt, amplified by the shunt amplifier and then fed to the pulse width modulator. This signal is compared with a signal from the current control reference signal and associated circuitry. The pulse width modulator integrated circuit then provides a drive pulse to the two primary switch transistors which has an "ON" to "OFF" time ratio to provide a secondary current of the correct amplitude through the shunt. The pulse width is continuously varying for different line voltage and changing load conditions in order to maintain equality between the shunt amplifier signal and the current control reference signal to the pulse width modulator. Over current protection is provided by sensing the shunt current and feeding the resulting shunt amplifier signal to the pulse width modulator. When this signal exceeds a predetermined value, the output drive pulses to the two primary switch transistors are reduced in width, which results in a reduction in output current to the predetermined output value. The DC Series front panel control consists of the MicroStar interface. The MicroStar interface features large, easy-to-read digital displays for both amps and volts as well as a third digital display and a soft-touch keypad for setting additional features. A computer program called FrontPanel+ is included for use as a basic user interface for computer control. It can send settings and show readings using either the RS485 or USB host ports. It also has basic data logging capability. *This rectifier appears to be in good condition.  It powered up without any issues, but we were unable to verify voltage and current due to lack of a controller.  We offer a money back guarantee to assure that it will meet your needs.* inkFrog Analytics
