The E-Cap, a hemispherical plastic cover that is easily installed over the open end of a high efficiency gas furnace flue pipe. To ensure our innovative product would offer the highest level of weather resistance and durability, we chose GELOY* CR7520 acrylic-styrene-acrylonitrile (ASA) resin from GE Advanced Materials instead of conventional PVC or acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) resin. GELOY resin from GE gives the E-Cap a number of important attributes, including resistance to oxidative degradation and a very attractive highgloss appearance, that we believe will significantly increase its appeal to HVAC industry. In our design phase, we recognized there were three different commonly used sizes of PVC pipe used in venting high efficiency furnaces, 1 1/2”, 2” and 3”. In order to reduce the amount of inventory a supplier or contractor would carry, we developed a unique stair step inner core which will accommodate all three sizes. In doing so we were able to achieve a much greater air flow from the E-Cap than the pipe can produce. Installation Tips: Install with at least 12” clearance from roof line. Installs with standard PVC Cement. Fits 1.5”, 2” and 3” PVC Pipe Can be used on both intake and exhaust. Install exhaust at least 12” above intake
