EBI Medical Hot/Cold Heating/Cooling Pad System Tested and Guaranteed This EBI Medical Hot/Cold Heating/Cooling System is in great shape and ready to use as soon as you receive it and fill it with distilled water. This system provides either Hot or Cold therapy to needed areas. The unit is able to provide up to 100*F of warm heat via supplied pads, also, the same unit can provide cold therapy at 45*F, with the flip of a switch. These units are solid and reliable. There are signs of normal use, which include some scratches and discoloration in the insulation. Test Results I filled the unit with distilled water and powered it up. The unit went into a self test, which it completed successfully [see photos]. I selected "Cooling" mode first, and set it to the lowest setting, which is 40*F. the unit reached a low temperature of 45*F and held that temperature for 2 hours until I switched it off. I then placed the unit into "Heating" mode. It took about 15 minutes or so, but the unit heated up and maintained temperature at 98.6*F and held temperature at that setting until I turned it off.
