The Eckstein Tetra-Tone Audiometer, model 46, is a screening audiometer designed for use in medical offices for routine hearing tests as well as for public health, school and FAA hearing test programs. The unit provides the four most significant tones (500, 1000, 2000, and 4000 Hz) at intensity levels which correspond to normal hearing, mild, serious, and severe hearing losses. This instrument is also capable of making FAA hearing tests (Class I, II, and III). A dynamic earphone is included (type TDH-39) with MX41AR earphone cushion. Also included with purchase of the unit are an audiogram pad and instruction book. FEATURES: The device has three intensity levels (25, 40, and 60 decibels) indicating the four hearing classifications; push button operation to prevent battery drain; solid state etched circuitry; constant voltage to prevent changes in output levels due to battery voltage variations; and internal adjustable calibration controls which permit accurate and rapid recalibration, if required.
