Up for sale is one case of 1,000 count 8 oz- World Art paper food containers. Containers are renewable and compostable. The Eco-Products EP-BSC8-WA 8 oz. World Art soup container may be used with hot or cold liquids (but not in the microwave), is made from renewable resources, and is lined with PLA, a plant-based plastic. The cup provides an alternative to traditional disposable soup cups, which are lined with petroleum and are not compostable or recyclable. This cup's lining is made from a form of PLA (polylactic acid) biopolymer (Ingeo), which is made from corn, a renewable resource. The soup cup is insulated to protect hands from the heat of hot liquids, color-coded by size for convenience in serving, and fits a lid (sold separately) to prevent leaking. This product meets the D6868 standards of ASTM International, formerly known as the American Society for Testing and Materials, for being compostable in municipal and industrial composting facilities. The cup is printed with a decorative world map pattern and a High Capacity Color Barcode to connect a mobile device to the Eco-Products website using the Microsoft Tag application. This soup cup has an 8 oz. capacity. Disposable food service products are used to store, insulate, transport, prepare, and serve food and drink. They may be made of paper, plastics, or metal foil. Food service products for freezing items protect their contents from freezer burn, contamination, and drying. Microwavable food service products are safe for use to heat food in a microwave. Compostable food service products biodegrade about as fast as yard trimmings and food scraps, and disintegrate so that no large plastic fragments remain.
