Not the prettiest girl at the prom but this old EICO 666 tube tester is a great match for working on old tube type equipment. It will test pretty much any receiving type tube from four pin through Ocal and Loctal .. an up to 7 and 9 pin minis. It does not check newer [more than 9 pin] types. The front panel is in pretty good shape .. some minor spots of aluminium corrosion [white streaks & spots] but not bad .. all printing is still legible, knobs are original and all the controls seem to work fine. The power cord has been patched together and should be replaced although it does indeed work. Outer case is generally an OK gray color except for some rust spots on the back and bottom. A side note but likely important .. it still has all the screws securing the panel to the case so it's unlikely that anyone has been messing around inside. The tester appears to work just fine .. I checked several tube types and all functioned as expected. It's pictured checking a 6L6GC and a 12AU7. I will not go into any great detail describing what a cool tube tester these are as they are very popular and the specs are widely available. Manuals and additional tube data are avialable free on-line. Roll chart is a little stiff but rolls from end to end. Great for working on early equipment as it has all the "pre-Octal" sockets that many newer testers don't have. It measures approx 15" X 12" X 6.5" and well packed shipping weight will be 23.5 pounds from zip code 24012.
