The videos also cover cardiac anatomy and physiology, including how the heart pumps, what the right and left atrium do, what cardiac pace makers do, the A.V. Junction, polarized cells, depolarized cells and repolarization, ions, and pathways. The bonus CD includes a basic EKG self-learning module, basic EKG handbook, EKG pocket guide, EKG rhythm generator, and online EKG lessons and exams. The 8-step method covered in the video training helps viewers to evaluate the P-wave, atrial rhythm, atrial rate, calculate the duration of P-R intervals, evaluate ventricular rhythm, ventricular rate, calculate the duration of QRS complex, and calculate the duration of Q-T interval. Upon completing this training, viewers will be able to recognize the P wave, the QRS complex, the S-T segment, T wave, and measure the P-R interval, QRS duration, the amount of S-T segment deviation, and the Q-T interval. The DVDs cover topics such as good placement of leads, the OT interval, R-wave, T-wave, QRS complex, electric axis, heart failure, MI on the 12 lead, and pulse. Additionally, viewers can learn about cardiac dysrhythmias, the anatomy and physiology of the heart, cellular biology relating to the heart, the heart's electrical activity, EKG wave form, monitoring the patient, interpreting EKG readings, sinus rhythms, remote capabilities, electrode placement, interval, duration, T-wave/Q-wave, and different types of leads for monitoring. The EKG-12 Lead Placement video set includes 2 DVDs and a bonus CD, providing comprehensive training on understanding EKGs. Abnormal readings covered in the videos include acute anterior wall, acute pericarditis, atrial fibrillation, AV block, hyperkalemia, left bundle branch, right bundle branch block, Trosafe des points, acute inferior posterior, asystole, atrial flutter, bigeminy, junctional rhythm, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation, and ventricular tachycardia.
