ELCONAP Type AH1 P Paraffin Oven For sale- an ELCONAP Electric Heat Control Apparatus Co. Type AH1 P Paraffin Oven. I guess. First couple of pictures are the unit before I cleaned it up some. Note that the tape on the front proclaims it to be a Paraffin Oven, but perhaps that’s just what THEY were using it for, and it may have other applications. I don’t know. If you look at the second picture, the tape there says “Doesn’t Work”. From everything I see it does, so it may be that the previous owners just weren’t that smart or they really wanted to get rid of the thing. It heats up and the thermostatic control seems to work just fine. The thing is heavy so there is going to be a fair amount of shipping cost involved, I don’t want you to get the thing without full disclosure. Maybe it is supposed to get hotter or something, I don’t know. Untested other than as described, sold as is, and NO warranty is offered. However, IF you pay the asking price and find it has a problem you cannot live with within 14 days of receipt you may return it. Returns are ONLY allowed on Buy It Now Purchases. Accepted Best Offers are strictly an as is sale, no returns allowed. Return would be for a refund of the purchase price, not including shipping costs. Just so that we are clear on that, this is an item that has not been thoroughly tested. As such it may work fine or it may have problems, so any purchase entails a certain degree of risk. If you Buy It Now your risk is limited to the shipping costs both ways. If you submit an offer you do so knowing that you cannot return it. In either case it is up to you to decide whether the risk level is acceptable to you, and if not you need to pass on this particular item. As I think you can see in the pictures the inner door glass is cracked but I think is probably usable as is. The base is a heavy steel or maybe even cast iron, and it is showing a bit of rust in places. Also need to note that in the later “cleaned up” pictures there are places that appear to be tape residue but in fact are where the finish peeled off. So cosmetically perhaps not the finest example. I will under NO circumstances ship it UPS, the people there don’t seem to be smart enough to handle a shipment charged to the recipients account, nor do they appear to be smart enough to correct their mistake after the fact.
