This beautiful dispenser is a rare find and is made of heavy green depression glass with an original nickel-plated spigot that sits atop a metal pedestal base. The dispenser measures approximately 12 1/2" tall and features a paddle wheel mixer at the top. The glass reservoir is embossed with oval planchets on the front and rear with lettering that reads “Mission / Real Fruit Juice Sweetened” and “Property of Mission Bay Corporation” and "Pat. No. D-82798" on the front. The Dispenser was designed with crackling that resembles the surface of ice, making it stunning to look at. The Dispenser was created by the California Crushed Fruit Company in Los Angeles, a company that later went through several name and location changes over the years. The company initially produced the first Mission soft drinks, and their Mission Orange Soda was so popular that in 1930, they formed The Mission Dry Corporation to start bottling Mission Orange soda in a unique black bottle. By the 1950s, the company had become "Mission of California, Inc." with offices based in New Haven, Connecticut. Throughout their history, they manufactured soft drinks and soda fountain syrups from about 1929 to 1970.
